Maintenance Manager - Virginia Plant

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning & execution of all equipment preventive and predictive maintenance. The person must be a highly motivated, energetic, experienced professional with a background in Engineering and or Maintenance Fields.
This manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Maintenance workload and execution tasks. The overall budget for this position is $12MM to $16MM annually. This position will work closely with the Engineering teams to identify asset care and reliability improvements to equipment as well as the identification of CAPEX baseline reinvestment strategies. With a heavy focus on customer service (Operations, Facilities and Engineering) the Maintenance Manager will lead by example and instill the right behaviors across a 24/7 team of 50-60 headcount including Maintenance Supervisors (Front Line Leaders), Planners & Schedulers and Multi- Craft technicians with proficient skills in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls and Instrumentation fields.
Maintenance Manager Core Job Responsibilities
Running the Maintenance Business :
+ Responsible for the integrity of the CMMS System (Maximo)
+ Maintaining the Reliability Engineering Program with the right staff and skillset required to support the Asset Care Program Develop the strategies to improve equipment uptime and availability
+ Developing and maintaining the Asset Management Program for the Plant Manage the continual optimization of the asset care program through condition monitoring and Preventive Maintenance
+ Ability to monitor, track and report Maintenance Performance across the business
+ Promote a positive culture that focuses on continuous improvement & operational excellence Lead the MEX Work Stream for the Site and integrate to the Plant?s MOS Actively support & attend the MOS meetings such as Tier Meetings, IR, PRB, OPEX, Supply Review & Quality Management Review Actively attend Department Meetings (Weekly Staff, Tier Reviews)
+ Drive to ensure successful root cause of asset driven events and follow through robust corrective and preventive action plans to prevent reoccurrence
+ Manage the Planning & Execution of the Annual Plant Shutdown from an asset management perspective Demonstrate Abbott?s Leadership Competencies (Anticipate, Innovate, Deliver Results, Build, Set Vision & Strategy). Assist your manager in the development of strategic and tactical goal development for the department and teams that align with Site Strategy Map and goals
GMP, Quality, Compliance and Food Safety:
+ Ensure a strict Food Safety & GMP Compliance Culture by maintaining an audit ready Maximo System and following guidelines for change management from a documentation perspective
+ Own efforts required to deliver quality and compliance performance for the department of accountability.
+ Coach and direct individuals to be in position to take appropriate action related to quality and compliance issues
+ Ensure & reinforce personnel to adhere and follow all Quality & Compliance Policies and Procedures Prepare for and actively participate in internal and external Quality/Regulatory audits.
+ Accountable for sustaining audit readiness through reinforcement of key programs such as 5S program, Master sanitation, PM program, etc.
+ Prioritize and manage exceptions and abnormal events coupled with timely implementation of corrective and preventative actions. Accountable to ensure all GQMS investigations/actions are closed in a timely manner
Financial/Business Responsibility:
+ Ensure and monitor adherence to the Maintenance Budget Plan
+ Responsible for submitting financial LBE?s to the site as per the fiscal financial calendar
+ Track and trend maintenance budget adherence to ensure healthy financials to properly maintain equipment site wide
+ Developing and submitting annual Maintenance Budget Own efforts required to assist in development of budget and deliver to all financial performance metrics and achieve the Profit & Loss (P&L).
+ Continuous drive to identify and execute cost improvement projects that match product cost glide path strategies
+ Allocate the appropriate maintenance spending to each area of the organization based on facts and data considering failure frequency, risk of failure, reliability factors, age and obsolescence of assets and parts Integration of the maintenance functions to the Plant Capital Planning Process
People :
+ Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures Leading and managing the Maintenance Supervisor workload
+ Ensuring the right staffing and skillset to match business needs
+ Coach and direct individuals and teams in delivering all related performance improvements.
+ Drive accountability and empowerment to the individual, team and department level to meet business deliverables
+ Maintaining the Reliability Engineering Program with the right staff and skillset required to support Plant Operations Continually identify, develop and promote talent across the maintenance organization
+ Ensure the right staffing & support to Plant Operations 24x7 Provide regular performance reviews to direct reports as per Human Resources guidelines
+ Reward & recognize talent and behaviors on a regular basis Oversee the Training Strategy & Implementation for the various functions within Maintenance
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS):
Encourage a culture of safety across the Maintenance Team by continuously reinforcing policies and procedures and investing on safety training programs Drive accountability throughout the department by ensuring policies are followed and performance managing deviations from policy Drive correct EHS behaviors at the department level identifying and executing interventions for improvement. Model and promote the behaviors that support a continuously improving EHS culture by engaging with employees and other key stakeholders in ensuring all EHS requirements are met inclusive of internal and external regulatory objectives and direction
Education:
Bachelor's Degree - Engineering or Technical field 7-10 years? experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
